The Legal Associate will be an integral part of our client’s team, providing high-quality legal support across both litigation and commercial law. This role is designed for a motivated individual with a passion for the legal profession, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of post-call experience, with demonstrated expertise or interest in litigation and commercial legal services. Proficiency in data analysis is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Collaborate with senior legal counsel in developing case strategies.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Prepare and organize evidence, exhibits, and witness statements for trials.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Attend court sittings, client meetings, and hearings as required.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Provide legal advice on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and business transactions.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Assist in the structuring and execution of mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate deals.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Conduct due diligence on behalf of clients.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Perform in-depth legal research on diverse areas of law.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Analyze data to support case preparation and business advisory.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards to provide updated counsel to clients.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear communication and a high standard of service delivery.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Act as a liaison between clients and other legal professionals within the firm.
5. Administrative Duties
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Maintain accurate records of case files, contracts, and client correspondence.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and legal briefs for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Bachelor\u2019s degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Call to the Bar in [Insert Jurisdiction].
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a02 to 5 years of relevant post-call experience in litigation and commercial law.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Strong understanding of litigation processes and commercial transactions.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) is a plus.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
\u25cf\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
