Our client in Port-Harcourt is seeking an experienced cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and deliver well – prepared meals. He\/she must be adept at moving around the kitchen and apt in multi- tasking. The ideal candidates are required to have experience in using various ingredients and cooking techniques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Responsibilities:
\u2022 Meal preparation
\u2022 Prepare meals according to dietary needs
\u2022 Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients.
\u2022 Bake, grill, steam and boil meats, vegetables, fish and poultry and other foods as requested
\u2022 Present, garnish and arrange final dishes
\u2022 Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling of utensils, equipment and dishes
\u2022 Handle, store and manage ingredients and food
\u2022 Ensure ingredients are fresh
\u2022 Manage food inventory, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
\u2022 Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
\u2022 Be willing to learn new recipes
\u2022 Monitor and manage stock
\u2022 Always wear assigned uniform
\u2022 Perform ad hoc duties that may be assigned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Requirements:
\u2022 2+ years of experience as a professional cook
\u2022 Culinary certification is a plus
