Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst who will also double as Technical Assistant to work directly with the Managing Director. The Business Analyst/Technical Assistant will support the Managing Director in strategic planning, operational performance tracking and measurement, and business decision-making across the organization. The incumbent will amongst others analyze business processes, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, stakeholder management skill, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of business operations and IT systems. S/he will provide high level technical, operational and administrative assistance to the MD daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
- Track KPIs across departments to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Develop and document business process models to illustrate current and future states.
- Carry out research on various organizational issues, gather data and information internally and develop presentation packs for the MD.
- Conduct in-depth research on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes within the industry and provide management reports for decision-making.
- Propose and design technical and process solutions that meet business needs and objectives.
- Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders and executives.
- Create detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions.
- Assist the MD in managing daily schedules, priorities and deliverables.
- Support the MD in managing and executing various business projects, track the progress of projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met and provides updates to the MD.
- Support the organization in identifying emerging opportunities and potential risks as well as maintaining a Risk Register.
- Assist the MD in evaluating investment opportunities, preparing business cases, and formulating strategic initiatives.
- Support the MD in overseeing Plant Operations, Logistics and Compliance issues.
- Develop presentations, proposals, and briefing documents for internal and external stakeholders.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and gather detailed business requirements.
- On behalf of the MD, act as liaison with internal teams and departments, external consultants, business partners, regulators and other critical external stakeholders.
- Support digital transformation in the organization and support data-driven decision-making by Management.
- Participate in testing and validating new systems and processes to meet business requirement.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing optimization efforts.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field. MBA or relevant certification (e.g., CBAP) is an added advantage.
