Job Description
Our client in the Hospitality sector is seeking a detail oriented and experienced Accountant to manage their financial transactions, maintain accurate accounting records, and ensure compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and budgets.
• Monitor cash flow and ensure proper financial controls are in place.
• Reconcile bank statements and manage financial records for audits.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and submit necessary financial documents.
• Process payroll and employee benefits accurately and on time.
• Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
• Work closely with management to develop financial strategies for cost-saving and profitability.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-5years of experience in an accounting or finance role
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations is a plus.
