The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking various dishes in a timely manner, following recipes, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
Responsibilities

  • Food preparation: Select recipes, measure ingredients, chop, slice, and season food
  • Cooking: Bake, fry, grill, and boil food
  • Presentation: Dress dishes and garnish them attractively
  • Food safety: Follow food safety and sanitation regulations, and ensure food is handled properly
  • Kitchen maintenance: Clean the kitchen, utensils, and dishes, and take out the trash
  • Food storage: Store food properly, monitor stock levels, and ensure ingredients are fresh
  • Communication: Work with wait staff and management
  • Training: Train kitchen staff or apprentices
  • Special dietary requirements: Adjust recipes to meet special dietary requirements

Qualifications

  • Culinary skills, including food preparation and cooking techniques
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and safety protocols
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
